Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to change the currency used to give prices in the TripAdvisor application while using the Microsoft Lumia 535.

Steps

To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the right-hand side of the phone

Once the phone is activated, we'll see the lock screen.

Swipe the lock screen up, and this will take us to the home screen

On the home screen, we need to find the TripAdvisor tile
.
It has a green background, and in the middle is the TripAdvisor logo. This is a hypnotic owl with very large eyes. If TripAdvisor has not been pinned to the home screen, swipe left to find it in the Apps menu.

Once TripAdvisor has been located, press down on it, and this will allow us to enter the application

Enter a location to search, then tap on the enter button, which is a white square with a black arrow

On the right-hand side of the screen, we can see that the application is currently showing "Dollars" to give the prices of the hotels

It doesn't matter which location we are in; if this currency is set on the app, this is the currency we will see, regardless of our location.

To change the currency, first tap on the 3 green dots in the bottom right corner

Tap on "settings"

This will take us to the settings menu.

Tap the third green bar, under "Select Currency" to change the currency
.
The current currency will show in the green bar, which currently shows "USD".

Tapping on the green bar will bring up the currency options

It doesn't have a huge amount of currencies, but it does have some of the main ones. "GBP", "EUR", "JPY", for example. We are going to change it to Great British Pounds. Tap on the currency to change it to. It will highlight the text in blue and go back to the previous screen.

Now, at the bottom it says, "Restart TripAdvisor to see changes applied" in red text
.
This means that we have to exit the application and then re-enter it for the changes to take effect. Let's do that now by pressing the white back button at the bottom of the phone until we arrive at the home screen.

Re-enter the application by tapping on the TripAdvisor application again

Press down on "HOTELS" again and enter in the location, then press the enter key

Now the currency has been changed to GBP, indicated by the GBP symbol

The prices are different, based on the currency conversion. To change it to a different currency again, follow the previous steps.
