Gmail's mobile app is convenient for Android users because most people who own an Android-powered device, also have a Gmail account. If you're someone that receives a lot of emails, you'll want to take advantage of any feature that helps minimize time spent on handling those emails. One such feature that can drastically reduce tapping is Gmail's Swipe actions. By default, swiping left or right will archive the email. However, there are additional options that can be set for Gmail's swipe actions, such as; Delete, Mark as read, Move to, and Snooze.

In the following VisiHow guide, we're going to show how to change both the left and right swipe actions in the Gmail mobile app. We'll also show how to check if you're running the latest version of the Gmail app. For this article, we used a Google Pixel running Android Oreo 8.1.0.
