The first thing you need to do is open Kaspersky Total Security

When the program opens, click the gear icon in the bottom-left corner of the window

Clicking the gear icon will allow you to access the "Settings" menu.

When the "Settings" menu opens, click "Scan" on the left-hand side of the window

Then, on the right side of the window, you will see a slider. The slider is currently is at the "Recommended (optimal protection, recommended for most users)" setting.

If you want to use a lower security setting, you simply need to click the slider and drag it down
