Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to change the ringtone on an HTC One M8.

   To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on top of the phone

   .

   Once the phone has been activated, we'll see the lock screen.

   To unlock the phone, press down on the screen and hold down until the two padlock icons appear at the bottom

   Once the phone has been unlocked, it will reveal the home screen with several icons across the bottom

   Press at the top of the screen and swipe down to open the notifications panel

   Tap on the icon at the top right-hand corner of the screen

   It is a white cog symbol, and this is the Settings icon. Pressing down on this will bring up the 'Settings' menu.

   Scroll down to the 'Personal' section, and we want the first option in that section, which is 'Personalize'

   Once in the 'Personalize' section, scroll down to the 'Sound section

   .

   We have two options regarding the ringtone, 'Slot 1' and 'Slot 2'. It is important to know where the SIM card is. If there are two SIM cards in the HTC One M8, then a different ringtone can be chosen for each SIM card slot.

   Since we are using 'Slot 1' in this demonstration, we are going to press down on that option

   This will bring up a list of ringtones.

   Swipe up and down on the screen to scroll through all of the ringtones

    Press down on one of them to hear the sound

    The circle across from the ringtone you press will be highlighted in green. Listen to as many of them as desired, and each time it will put a green dot inside the circle across from the ringtone on the right side of the screen.

    Once we are happy with our ringtone selection, and we see that the green circle across from it is highlighted, we'll then just press down on 'Apply' at the bottom of the screen in the gray bar

    Now, it shows the ringtone name we just selected under 'Slot 1 ringtone', showing it is set as the ringtone for that slot
