The first thing you need to do is open Kaspersky Total Security

When the program opens, click the gear icon on the bottom left corner of the window

Clicking the gear icon will allow you to access the "Settings" menu.

When the "Settings" menu opens, click "Scan" on the left hand side of the window

Then, on the right side of the window, click "Advanced Settings"

Clicking on "Advanced Settings" will reveal a drop down menu

In this menu, click on "Quick Scan settings".

The first option you will see is "Security level"
.
You can adjust the security level by clicking and dragging the slider. If you click and drag the slider up, you will change the setting to "High (maximum protection in dangerous environments)".

Clicking and dragging the slider all the way down will change the "Security level" setting to "Low (minimum protection and highest computer performance)"

Keeping the slider in the middle will keep the setting "Recommended (optimal protection, recommended for most users)"

Next, click on the drop down menu to change "Action on threat detection"

The current setting is "Select action automatically". The other options in this menu are "Notify", "Disinfect", "Disinfect, if not possible - delete", and "Delete".

Choose a folder
