    To begin, we should unlock our phone, which we can do by pressing the lock button on the right-hand side of the phone.

    We can enter our passcode or just hold the finger onto the home button, which doubles as a fingerprint scanner as well. This will open the home screen.

    We should find the My Fitness Pal icon. In my case, it is in the "Useful" folder. The icon itself is blue with a symbol of a person in white jumping, and there is a grey tab in the top-left corner of the icon.

    We tap My Fitness Pal to open the application. It will immediately take us to the home screen.
