Steps

In order to change the lock-screen security type, we are going to need to tap the gear-shaped Settings icon on the home screen of the phone

If we don't have the Settings icon, we simply swipe down from the top

We'll open the notifications panel.

We swipe down from the top again

We will see the full notification area and the gear-shaped Settings icon.

We tap the Settings icon once

We will be taken to the main "Settings" panel.

In the main "Settings" panel, we tap the "Lock screen" icon

The icon has a green circle and a white padlock inside. It is labelled "Lock screen". Once we've tapped "Lock screen", we will be in the "Lock screen" area.

We tap the first option, "Screen lock", under "SCREEN SECURITY"

In this video, "Screen lock" is set to "None".

Then we tap on "Pattern"

In order to test the pattern, we press the power button one time on our phone

One press on the power button will lock the phone.

We press the power button once more

We will unlock the phone.

We need to swipe up to unlock the screen
