You're watching VisiHow. In a previous tutorial, I demonstrated how to install the Weather widget on the Nexus 6P. In this tutorial, I'm going to demonstrate how to change the default home city on a Weather widget.

Tap on the top of the Weather widget

It will take me to to the News and Weather application.

Tap the three dots next to the city and the country

Tap on "Edit weather display..."

I have a few options here. One is set to "Auto-detect my location". It will always show you the weather for the city in which you are.

If you want to have you home screen show a particular city, even if you are not located in that city, tap on "Use another location."

Type the name of the location by tapping on "Add a location"

Tap on "New York, NY, United States"

The weather will be updated to show New York, New York.
