Change Date Format on HTC One M8

Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to change the date format on an HTC One M8.

Steps

    To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button located on top of the phone

    Once the phone has been activated, we will see the Lock screen

    To unlock the phone, swipe the screen upwards

    Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the Home screen, and at the bottom of the screen will be several icons

    We now need to find the Settings menu. To do that, we need to swipe the Notification panel down.

    To do that, start at the top of the screen, and swipe down

    Now, the Notification panel has appeared

    We want the icon at the top right-hand corner of the screen

    It is a white cog icon. This is the Settings icon.

    Press down on the icon, and it will open the "Settings" menu

    It says "Settings" at the top left corner of the screen

    Now, let's scroll down to the "PHONE" section

    This section has the word "PHONE" in the gray bar.

    Scroll down just a bit to find the "Date & time" option

    Next to those words is an icon of a calendar with the number "8" inside.

    Press down on the "Date & time" option, and it will open that menu

    We want the option at the bottom that says, "Choose date format"

    We can see the current format just underneath that. On this example, it is Day/Month/Year.

    Press down on this section

    We now have a number of different options

    We have the option to include actual words, including the actual day and written name of the month or first few letters of the month name

    These are the formats at the top, which are just numbers.

    Choose the option desired by tapping on it

    It will select that format and return to the previous menu.

    We can see at the bottom of the screen that the new format is there

    We can have a look at this on the Lock screen by pressing the Power button on top of the phone

    This will make the phone sleep. Then turn it back on again to activate it.

    Now, we can see the new date format just below the time

    Therefore, we have successfully changed the date format. To change it again, simply repeat the process.
