Edited by Thor, Courtney, Eng
Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to change the clock format on an HTC One M8.
Steps
1
To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button located on the top of the phone
.
2
Once the phone has been activated, we will see the Lock screen
.
3
To unlock the phone press down and swipe the screen upwards
.
4
Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the Home screen, with five various icons in a row at the bottom
.
What we now need to do is find the Settings menu. To do that we need to swipe the Notification panel down.
5
To bring down the Notification panel, start right at the top of the screen and swipe downwards
.
6
Now we can see that the Notification panel has appeared
.
7
We are now looking for the white cog icon, located in the top, right-hand side of the screen
.
This is our Settings icon.
8
Press down on this cog icon once, this will open up our Settings menu
.
We will see that it says the word "Settings" in the top left-hand corner of the screen.
9
Now let's scroll down until we get to the "PHONE" section
.
We will see that it says the word "PHONE" in a gray bar at the top of the section.
10
In this section, we are looking for the "Date & time" option
.
We can see that it says the words "Date & time", to the left of these words there is an icon of a calendar with the number "8" inside of it.
11
Press down on this option, this will open up our "Date & time" menu
.
12
We are looking for the option which says "Use 24-hour format"
.
13
Currently, this option is turned off
.
We can tell because the box to the right of this option is empty. Underneath of the words "Use 24-hour format", it will also say "1:00 PM" which lets us know we are currently using the AM/PM format.
14
If we want to change this to use the 24-hour format, simply press down on the empty box to the right of the words "Use 24-hour format"
.
15
The box will now change to be green with a white check mark inside of it
.
16
Now, underneath of the words "Use 24-hour format" it will say "13:00"
.
This means we have now changed our clock to the 24-hour format.
17
If however, we want to use the AM/PM format simply turn this function off and deactivate it by pressing down on the box another time, which will remove the checkmark and make it blank once again
.
18
Now we can see that the format has reverted to the AM/PM, the text underneath of this option will read "1:00 PM" again instead of "13:00"
.
19
This then concludes our tutorial on how to change the clock format on an HTC One M8
.
