Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to change the captions text size on an HTC One M8.

Steps

To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on top of the phone
.
Once the phone has been activated we will see the lock screen.

To unlock the phone, swipe the screen up

Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see 5 icons. We need to find the Settings menu. To do that, we need to swipe the notification panel down.

Press your finger at the top of the screen and swipe downwards

This will open the notification panel.

We want to tap the white cog icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen

This is our settings icon and it will open up the settings menu. It will say the word "Settings" in the top left-hand corner of the screen when it is opened.

Let's scroll down and tap on "Accessibility" in the "PERSONAL" section

It has a hand icon. This will open up our accessibility options.

We want to tap on "Captions"

We need to make sure the caption setting is on

Right now, the captions are off, indicated by the word "OFF" in the switch at the top. To turn it on, press down on "OFF" and the switch will turn green.

We can see there is now a caption at the bottom of the image

It says, "Captions will look like this". What we want to do, is change the text size.

To do that, we can press down on "Text size"

It states the current text size under it, which is currently "Normal".

Here we can tap on a size to see what it looks like

We have "Very small", all the way to "Very large". The green circle indicates the option that is selected. We will choose "Very large".

Now we can see the captions are indeed very large

To make them smaller, press down on "Text size" again and select a different size

We will select "Very small".

Now we can barely see the captions

They are miniscule and we cannot read them. We will set it back to normal.
