Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to change the captions language on an HTC One M8.

   To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on top of the phone

   .

   Once the phone has been activated we will see the lock screen.

   To unlock the phone, swipe the screen up

   Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see 5 icons. We need to find the Settings menu. To do that, we need to swipe the notification panel down.

   Press your finger at the top of the screen and swipe downwards

   This will open the notification panel.

   We want to tap the white cog icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen

   This is our settings icon and it will open up the settings menu. It will say the word "Settings" in the top left-hand corner of the screen when it is opened.

   Let's scroll down and tap on "Accessibility" in the "PERSONAL" section

   It has a hand icon. This will open up our accessibility options.

   We want to tap on "Captions"

   We need to make sure the caption setting is on

   .

   Right now, the captions are off, indicated by the word "OFF" in the switch at the top. To turn it on, press down on "OFF" and the switch will turn green.

   We can see there is now a caption at the bottom of the image

   We can change the language if we need to, for whatever reason that may be.

   Press down on the word "Language"

   This will open a list of languages.

    Tap on the chosen language

    .

    There are not very many, just some of the most common languages such as Arabic, Russian, Portuguese, French, English, etc., as well as the default language at the top. The default language means the language of the phone. The language that the phone and operating system is using will be the language that the captions are in. We will choose Spanish.

    To change it again, tap on "Languages" and select another language
