To begin, let's turn the phone on by pressing the Power button located on the top of the phone

Once the phone has been activated, we will see the Lock screen

To unlock the phone, we swipe the screen upwards. Once the phone is unlocked, we will see the Home screen, and there will be icons at the bottom of the screen.

We need to find the "Settings" menu now

To do that, we need to swipe the notifications panel down.

To do that, we tap and hold the top of the screen and swipe downwards

We tap the settings icon to open up our "Settings" menu

We scroll down until we locate the "PERSONAL" section

We tap the "Security" section to open our "Accessibility" menu

We want to tap the "Captions" option

The "Captions" menu will be shown. The first thing we need to do to change the caption style is turn this function on (turn the captions on). There is a black bar at the top with a toggle that is currently in the "OFF" position. This indicates that the function is turned off.

We tap the toggle icon on top

The phone will now turn the captions on. The toggle will show the word "ON" in white writing, and there will be a green segment of the icon. Now that the captions has been turned on, we want to change the style. Perhaps make it more recognizable, easier to read, or more distinguishable from the background or the image on which the captions find themselves. The captions are shown at the bottom of the image.

Let's tap the "Caption style" option
.
In this video, the selected option at the moment is "Use app defaults". We can change that. We tap the "Caption style" section, and a collection of options will be shown. We have "White on black", "Black on white", "Custom", "Yellow on blue", or "Yellow on black".

For example, let's tap anywhere on the "Yellow on black" icon

The captions will change their color. The writing will be yellow, and the background will be black. It is quite distinguishable, which makes it easier to read and identify.

If we want to change the colors, or we want to change the style, we just tap "Caption style" again

We choose a different option

Let's tap "Yellow on blue". That will be quite right and bold. We can complete that process by choosing any of the options from the "Caption style" menu that makes us happy or satisfy us.
