   To begin, we'll unlock the phone by pressing the right-hand side button

   We then swipe up one time to get to our home screen

   My camera is already loaded onto my home screen since it is an application that I use quite often.

   We can select the camera if it is not loaded to the home screen from the Apps icon

   It is a gray box with a set of white squares labeled "Apps". It is located on the bottom right-hand side. By pressing on the icon one time, we can view all the applications currently loaded on the phone.

   We can scroll both right and left until we find the "Camera" application

   Press one time on the camera to open the camera.

   If we would like to take a front facing photograph, we can change the direction of the camera by pressing the camera icon with a set of arrows

   It will change to a front-facing view of the camera.

   If we would like to make this a black and white image, we can select the gear-shaped icon at the top left-hand side, and this allows us to change the some of the settings on the camera

   If we select the icon for "Color effect" (it is the only colored icon here) it gives us some different options

   We can see that black and white is the second option

   Select "Mono". We need to move this blue radio icon over to "Mono". We can see now that the color effect is in black and white.

   We can select anywhere outside of this gray menu to exit the menu

    To take the photo, we can press this center icon here with the picture of the camera
