How do I change the letters in a cell, without moving the letters into another cell?. cell A1 has this text in it "The Boat is in THe waTTeR.". I want to change the letters in cell A1 all to upper case.. cell A1 will now look like this "THE BOAT IS IN THE WATER.". Cell A1 has "HeLLo" in it. Everyone shows insert this function into a blank cell =Upper(A1) That blank cell now has "HELLO" in it. I want cell A1 to change to "HELLO". I have tried: Cell A1 has "HeLLo" in it. I type this function =UPPER(A1) into cell H4 or any blank cell. cell H4 now has "HELLO" in it. Right click on cell H4 Left click - Copy Move to cell A1 Right click - Paste special Left click - Paste values only cell A1 now has "#REF!" in it
