To get started, turn the phone on by pressing the power button on the right-hand side of the phone

This will bring up the lock screen.

Once the lock screen has been activated, swipe up to unlock the phone and access the home screen

Find and press the Skype tile to open the application

We can see the tile near the middle of the screen on this device. It has a blue background with the Skype logo in the middle. If the Skype tile is not pinned to the home screen, swipe left and find it in the apps menu.

Now, we need to swipe until we are in the "people" section
.
It will say "people" at the top in a darker blue text. Once we're in this section, we have the option to call people who are not just in our Skype contacts, but also people who are our contacts in the people section of the Microsoft Lumia 535. The people contact list is the list of everyone we have on our actual phone. They may not be in the Skype application, but we can still call them using Skype. Therefore, it's like using a different company to call them if we don't have any money on our phone or if our phone network is not working.

To do this, we need to press "Skype" under the word "people"

There's also a small blue circle with an arrow in it.

Now we can select people from "all", "Skype", or "available"
.
If we press all, it will show more contacts.

This has added our contacts from the phone onto the Skype contact list

We can now use Skype to call them directly.

For example, if we want to call Stan, we can press down on his name

This will bring us to the profile.

Then, we can press the icon at the bottom

It's a white phone inside of a white circle.

In this example, it's telling us that it's an invalid number
.
That's because this number is not real. If the number was real, pressing that icon would then allow us to call the contact.

We can go back by pressing the white arrow in the bottom left-hand corner

That will take us back to the contact list.

To change this back to only Skype contacts, we will press "all" in the top left-hand corner
