Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to use voice commands to call a contact from any screen when using an HTC One M8.

   To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on top of the phone

   Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen.

   To unlock the phone, press down on the screen and swipe up

   Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the home screen and at the bottom we will see 5 icons. It is important to note that if we want to be able to use this voice command on every screen at all times, then we need to change the settings in the settings menu. This is because the default setting on the HTC One M8 is that we can only use the voice commands when we're in the Google application. We can refer to another video on VisiHow to learn how to turn that option on.

   Say "OK Google" to open the Google application

   Then, we're going to ask Google to phone a contact. What will happen then is it will ask to sync the contact list on the device with Google. We will need to accept and agree to that. Then, it will take us back into the calls section. In this example, we have already given Google access to our contacts.
