   To begin, unlock the phone

   Either press the lock button on the side, or the home button at the bottom.

   Swipe from left to right across the screen

   Enter the passcode, or press a finger to the home button to use the fingerprint scanner

   Find the Gumtree icon

   The icon has a tree in the center. Tap once to open up the app. We will see a search bar along the top, and to the right of that, "Categories".

   Press "Categories"

   .

   This brings up a menu with different icons in orange, representing different categories. "Jobs" is represented by a tie, "Property" a house, and so on. To the right of each icon, there is a plus sign in a circle. For an example, we will take an interest in property.

   Tap on the plus icon next to "Property"

   This narrows down the search to different properties. We have the options "For Sale", "To Rent", etc. Let's do a demonstration.

   Press the plus icon next to "To Rent"

   This narrows down the search again.

   The app loads our results with a more filtered search than if we had just used the search bar.

    Scroll through to browse results

    Go back by pressing "Results" in the top left corner of the screen
