To begin, we unlock the phone by pressing the top right-hand-side power button

We swipe up one time to get to the home screen

In this video, the Facebook icon is on the home screen. The icon is a blue square with a white letter "f" inside of it.

If the icon is not on the home screen, we can access it by tapping the Apps icon
.
The icon is on the lower right-hand side of the home screen. The icon is a gray box with a set of white squares inside of it.

We tap the Facebook icon one time

We'll get to our news feed. From the news feed, we do need to access "Account Settings". There are five little gray icons in the bar on the top.

On the rightmost side of the bar, there is a list icon that has three grey lines
.
We tap it one time. In this example, we'll end up at the bottom of the list. By default, we start at the top.

From the top, we have to scroll down through the list until we get to the bottom where we have "Account Settings"

It is next to a gray circle. Inside of the circle, there is a person next to a gear.

We tap "Account Settings" one time

From the new menu, we can expand the "Blocking" section by tapping it one time
.
We'll have a new screen that says, "Once you block someone, the person can no longer see things you post on your timeline, tag you, invite you to events or groups, start a conversation with you, or add you as a friend. Note. Does not include apps, games, or groups you both participate In."

If we want to block somebody, we can tap "Type a name or email" in the search box
.
We can go by email address if we know it or the name. In this example, we'll go by name.

We type the name

Once we type in the name of the person, we can tap "Block"

We tap "Block" once again if the person whom we want to remove is on the screen

Facebook does ask us to confirm that we do want to block the person
.
The blocked person won't be able to view any of our activities. This will also remove the person from our friend list.

We tap "Block" one time

We'll see that the person has been added to our block list.

If we do want to unblock a person, at any time we can return to the "Block users" screen and tap "Unblock" next to the name
.
Facebook will ask us if we want to unblock the person. Depending on the settings, the person will be able to view some of our activities. If we unblock the person, we have to wait for 48 hours until we can reblock the person.

In order to close Facebook and go back to the home screen, we can press the home button one time
