   Press the power button on the right side of the phone to turn the phone on

   Swipe the lock screen up to unlock the phone

   Tap the WhatsApp tile to open the application

   If WhatsApp is not pinned to the home screen it can be found in the App menu, which can be accessed by swiping from right to left.

   Tap the menu icon in the bottom right corner of the screen to open the options menu

   The menu icon appears as 3 dots, and will appear in the same place no matter which screen you are viewing in WhatsApp.
