Hello, you are watching VisiHow and this is a tutorial on how to backup system data on Windows 7.
Press the Start button located at the bottom left of the screen to open the "Control Panel".
In the Control Panel, press on "System and Security".
Press on "Backup and Restore".
The screen is currently telling us that the last backup was canceled.
We need to change the schedule so that the computer starts a backup right now. To do this, click on "Change settings".
Select the destination of the backup file. I am going to choose "VisiHow (H:)". Press "Next" to proceed.
There are two options on the next screen, you can let Windows choose which files to back up or you can choose the files yourself. The first choice is recommended. Click "Next" to proceed.
The next window is a backup schedule which says that back up will be done every Sunday at 7:00 PM. Click on "Change schedule" to change the schedule.
In this window, you can choose how often, what day and what time you want the backup to take place. The "Run backup on schedule" option can be unchecked to backup manually. Press "OK" to save the settings.
Set your preferred settings and press "Save settings and exit" to finish.
Press on "Back up now" to start the backup process.
The backup will now begin. Note that backup may take anywhere between a several minutes to a several hours so be patient and do not turn off your computer.
Once the backup is finished, a new window will pop up saying "Windows Desktop has completed successfully". Press "Close" to close this menu.
Close the Control Panel window.
