You are looking for a Level-1 monster.

Once you find "Skeleton LV.1", tap on it once

You will see that you have the option go tap on "More", "100 Gold", "60-Minute VIP", and "Equipment Material". You need to attack the monster though.

You will use all of our troops. It will cost you 5 stamina. You only have 1119 troops but are going to have a march.

You can slide the bar to increase or decrease to number of your troops

It will take 21 seconds to get there. You will see your guys start marching out. A little thing ran up a second ago, which was your stamina. Notice that your stamina is little less now.

If you tap on your troops as they're marching, you will get some additional options

You can tap on "Speed up" for your troops, you can "Recall" them, and you can tap on "Troops"

Let's tap on "Troops". This will give you the information about your troops. Now, tap on any place on the screen outside the "View Troops" window. You will see the troops proceeding on towards "Skeleton". Once the troops get to "Skeleton", they will start attacking it. "Skeleton" is also attacking them. It appears that "Skeleton" has been but back to rest. You have succeeded. Your troops are coming back to the castle, which is indicated by green arrows.

You check your success in "Mail" by tapping it

You will see that you will have defeated "Skeleton"

You will see that you have "1,000 Food" and "Lord EXP +20". You will also see that you lost 1 power, and 1 soldier was wounded. you now have 1118 soldiers.

Then, tap "Back" to go back to your castle

That was how to attack monsters. Attacking players is different. You should never attack monsters higher than the level of your castle. For example, you have the Level 4 of your castle. That means that you could, in theory, attack a Level-4 monster if you had enough troops. Currently you have just 1119 troops. In this case, you could have need 10,000 or more troops; so, you need to get more troops; and then you can fight a Level-4 monster.
