Steps

To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on top of the phone
.
Once the phone has been activated we will see the lock screen.

To unlock the phone, swipe the screen up

Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see 5 icons. We now need to open the application folder.

We can do that by tapping the icon in the middle, at the bottom of the screen

There is a grid of white dots. This is the icon for the applications folder.

Now that the folder has been opened, we need to find and tap the Gmail application
.
There is a Gmail icon, which is an envelope with a red 'M', and underneath it says the word "Gmail". Your application may be in a different location, so look for the icon in your folder. We want to demonstrate how to attach a file to an email. To do that, we are going to create a new email.

We can create a new email by pressing on the red circle in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen

We want to tap on the paperclip icon in the red bar at the top of the screen
.
This is the icon we need to attach files to an email. We will also see this for replies as well, not just when composing a new email.

We want the first option, "Attach file"

We will then have a list of all of the different ways that we can attach a file.

Tap on the chosen option

We can use "Recent", "Drive", "Images", "Audio", "Downloads", "Voice Recorder", "Select music track", "Gallery" or "Photos". We can attach a file from any of these folders. We'll tap on "Recent" and we'll see all of our recent files.
