   To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the right-hand side of the phone

   Swipe the lock screen up to enter the home screen

   Find and tap the WhatsApp tile

   If your WhatsApp tile is not located on the home screen, swipe to the left in order to access the app menu. In the app menu find the WhatsApp application.

   Press on the three dots icon, located on the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, in order to see more options

   Tap on the "settings" option

   Once in the settings menu, tap on chat settings

   To backup our data, press the "backup" option.

   Press "yes" to archive all of our chats

    We have the option to unarchive all of our chats if you want to undo the archiving

    To view our archived chats, tap on the options menu icon

    The options menu icon is the three dots located on the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

    Press on the "archived chats" option in order to view our archived chats

    This will show you our previous chats that have now been archived

    To open it, simply tap on the chat you want to view.

    You still have the option to write in the archived chats

    If you do write in the archived chats, it will unarchive it will be moved to your active chats.
