   When the message pops up, you will notice that you can't slide to reply to the message. The only thing you can do is press the "X" to close the message.

   You can choose "slide to answer", or choose "remind me" to be reminded at a later date, but you cannot respond with a message. If you hang up the phone, you cannot slide to call back; you can only press the "X" to remove the call from the lock screen.

For accepting an incoming WhatsApp call, passcode has to be entered?

A normal phone call can be received even when iPhone is locked, however, to accept a WhatsApp call, the phone has to be unlocked which is cumbersome...is this a bug in iPhone or some change in settings is required.
