Cannot unlock my Android. Error message says plug in USB cord. Says device is locked because down volume button was pushed, cannot even get to main screen. I have plugged in USB cord into phone and computer and nothing shows up on screen. I don't know what to do to unlock it!

I have a Kindle Fire HD7 and I'm pretty sure it has a virus, it always freezes and turns off, what do I do?
I went on to a website and it stopped working completely, it always teases me and I want it back, do you have any advice to get the virus off (if it has one). I have tried: Turning it on and off, charging it, waiting a long long period of time. I think it was caused by: I went on a website that probably had the virus
If the website had a virus or you suspect one, install an anti virus program like Malware Bytes to see if it can sniff out the virus. In the future, enable smart search in your Google Settings which gives you a warning about possible virus pages. If you still do not find any virus then it may be a hardware issue. These can be resolved at times with a hard reset or firmware update.
