You are watching VisiHow and today we are going to teach you how to use the battery settings on your iPhone 6.
Steps
1
To start with, give a quick press to the lock button on the right side of the phone
.
2
It is going to open up to the lock screen
.
Swipe across your lock screen.
3
You will be taken to the main Home screen
.
4
If you are already on your phone, you are just simply going to find the black round button at the bottom of the phone
.
A single press to that will take you back to the Home screen.
5
You are looking for the gray icon that looks like a gear and says Settings
.
Tap on that one time
6
When we tap on Settings, you are going to scroll down all the way to the third section here
.
7
And we are going to tap on General
.
8
Once you tap on General you are going to scroll down again and you are looking for Usage
.
Do a quick tap on Usage.
9
It will now take you to the section where you can view or control the actual Usage
.
So for example on this phone, I have Battery Usage and I have Battery Percentage.
10
Battery Percentage will show me the little spot here at the top right side
.
I just tap this one time to turn it on. Now, my battery tells me that I have a massive 16% left. Fantastic!
11
But If you do not want to see that, I just tap on it again which turns it off
.
12
However, I like to show battery percentage so let's turn it On
.
13
Next, we have Battery Usage
.
Give Battery Usage a quick tap.
14
We can see here that I have used 3 hours and 43 minutes
.
Standby has been 7 hours and 8 minutes.
15
I can Enable Auto-Brightness and I can Enable Auto-Lock
.
Both will reduce my battery usage
16
However, since I am producing tutorials as a general rule, Brightness is on and the Lock is off
.
17
Alright, you can see here the last 24 hours how much of my phone had percentage had use for this
.
18
Here, you can see the last 4 days since I only have this phone for 4 days
.
Again, see how much of this things has been used.
19
So, this will let you identify a particular application in this case, Clash of Clans which we have a tutorial a separate tutorial actually
.
20
That will allow you to then identify which application are using
.
Now, to turn those off close them down. Let's tap back in Usage now.
21
Once again, we will tap on General
.
22
This will take us back to the main section under our Channel section
.
23
We will tap again back on Settings
.
24
This will take us back to the Settings panel
.
You can press the Home button which will take us back to the Home screen.
25
Now that you are back on the Home screen, and you setup your battery percentage, you have learned how to look around and see which applications on your iPhone 6 are using the most battery life
.
You will be able to reduce your battery usage and save some power on the iPhone 6. Thanks for using VisiHow. If you have questions and comments please let us know in the section below. Have a great day!
