Steps

    The first method is simply to press the volume buttons on the side of the device

    If you look at the iPad from the side, you will note that there are two buttons
    .
    One is for volume up and one is for volume down.

    If you press the up button, then the volume menu will come up

    The volume will also increase.

    The second way to adjust the volume is to swipe up from the bottom

    This will open the control center. You will find that you have a volume option to the left.
