How do I remove silent mode on my Note3?
The phone is silent regardless of volume settings
You will need to do the following:
- Go to settings by taping the menu button on your home screen. If you're unsure where to find the menu button, CLICK HERE.
- Go to "Audio Profiles".
- Tap "General".
- Test the volume to see if it's functioning properly.
- You can also drag down the notification bar and tap the quick settings and untap silent mode.
My Note3 keeps going to mute on its own.
I just noticed that my phone was on mute. So I activated Sound and it went right back to mute Repeatedly. Same when I select vibrate. Can you help?
It may not just be the mute button that you need to adjust. You may want to check the "Alert Settings" on your phone and see the combination you've made there. If a certain profile is activated, even if you've taken your phone off mute, the setting of that profile will still be obeyed. Therefore, you have to make the corrections from there.
How do I set the volume button to turn down the ringer?
It used to be that I could turn down the volume and the volume on the ringer would turn down, and I'd click it again and it would be silent, with no vibration. Now it's only turning down the media. I have to hit the settings button next to the volume screen that pops up. How can I put it back the way it was?
If you're listening to music or watching a video, the volume buttons will adjust the media volume. If you pause the song or stop watching the video, the volume buttons will automatically go back to adjusting the ringer volume.
Actually I just switched from the iPhone to Galaxy . How do I "mute my voice", for conference calls?

Need help trying to figure out incoming ring.
Checked all the settings - all the ring volumes are up. Do Not Disturb is turned off. Yet, all calls go to voicemail and the phone does not ring or give any notification of a incoming call. I have tried: Checked all setting and cycled everything. I think it was caused by: No idea. Just stopped ringing.
Seems to be a common problem. Try any of these suggestions:
- 1Whether wirelessley, or not, you need to disconnect immediately. Check the ring tones again.Make sure you aren't connected any accessories, and they aren't connected to you.
- 2If the problem is still there after disconnecting accessories, switch the phone off, take out the battery, wait a couple of minutes, put the battery back in, power on the device and reset the ringer.
- 3Make sure you haven't customized specific ring settings " like silent and vibrate, or have set ring to be silent at specific times, or not to ring with specific callers.
- 4Go to Settings, and set them to ring, and set the volume level that works for you.Make sure you have disabled message alert and incoming call alert.
- 5The problem lies with specific apps.I've you've checked the other tones on your device " message, email, alarm and music, and they are working, at least it means the problem isn't with your speaker.
- 6If it is, there may be an issue with ringtones you've downloaded to your device.Check the preset/stock ringer to see if it's working.
- 7Try running your device in Safe Mode, and see if it works. If you've recently installed any third party apps on your device, they may have interfered with your other apps, specifically " Ring Tones.
- 8Try clearing your cache.
- 9Unlike a Factory Reset, your personal data won't be lost.As a last resort, you may need to perform a "Wipe Cache Partition" to correct these issues.
