- 9You probably want it set to anywhere from 3 to 5 Minutes because something else will distract you and you will come back to your game and your phone will have timed out. However, if you are like me and you are recording tutorials or you are constantly doing things with your phone, shooting videos, etc., and you stop or you pause for a minute or your phone believes that you are no longer doing whatever it is you were doing previously, you are going to time out. So, we are going to tap Never in my case. Now, a word of advice, if you play a games a lot on your phone, you do not want it set to 1 Minute.
- 10You may have bought a phone from someone and you want to change that in which case instead of tapping never, you might actually want to tap something like 1 Minute, or 3 Minutes or 4 Minutes and you can see each time whichever one you have tapped, the checkbox will light up to show you that that is the one you have selected. You may have something different that you need to do or you may already be on Never.

My iPhone doesn't have auto lock feature listed, It does have screen time as an option. Could this be the correct way for my iPhone?
I went into settings, then general, and do not see auto lock as a feature. I have an option called screen time if that is of any help. I followed the instructions posted on this website on my iPhone 6 and after going into settings then general I do not have an option listed for an "auto-lock" feature. everything else appears to be the same however.
