Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to adjust the flash for the Camera on an HTC One M8.

- 4There's a lightning bolt with an arrow on the end, and it currently has the letter "A" on top of it. This means that the flash is in Auto mode, so it's going to decide itself if it is needed. If it realizes it's dark, it's going to automatically use the flash. If there's enough light, it won't use the flash. Once we tap on it, we will see the "A" has disappeared, which means that the flash is no longer automatic, it's on. We're forcing the camera to flash. To do that, we can press down on the icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

- 9Choose the option that's needed when taking a photo. Sometimes if we're in low lighting and we use the flash, it ruins the photo because it gives too much light to the subject. Experiment and play with the flash to see what situations you need to use it in and what kind of effect it can have on your photos. If we press down on the camera icon again, we'll see the flash has been turned off.
