To begin, unlock the phone
.
Either press the lock button on the side, or the home button at the bottom.

Swipe from left to right across the screen

Enter the passcode, or press a finger to the home button to use the fingerprint scanner

Find the Pages icon
.
It is orange with a white pen on it. Tap once to open up the app. We already have a document open. It's a blank page template, and we've copied in an extract from a book that we like. We could choose a different type of format, depending on if we were writing a letter or a poster or so on. Refer to our other video, where we show exactly how to open a document in Pages on the iPhone 6. No matter which format we choose, we will see a row of icons in the top right-hand corner.

Press the spanner icon on the far right

This brings up a new window, called "Tools".

Tap "Document Setup"

It's the fourth option. It takes us to a strange looking page. This is where we can edit our margins and paper size and so on.

Press and drag across the screen to specify document size

As we drag, it tells us the size of the margins in a black box.

Press and drag down from the top to adjust the header

Press and drag up from the bottom to adjust the footer

Press "Tap to edit header" at the top of the white box

Type to add a header
.
Tap the white space outside of the header to finish.

View the header
.
We can see our header in the top right corner of the white box.

Press "Tap to edit footer" at the bottom of the white box, and repeat the process to add a footer

Press "Change Paper Size" at the bottom of the screen

Tap to choose a paper size

We can choose between "US Letter" and "A4". We will press "A4".
