Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is part of a series of videos on how to use the camera on an HTC One M8. In this video, we are going to show you how to adjust the Make-up level.

   To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button located on the top of the phone

   Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen

   To unlock the phone, swipe the screen upwards

   Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see several icons

   It is one of these icons that we now need to access, as we need to open up the camera.

   To do that, we can use the icon located at the bottom of the home screen and on the far right-hand side

   Press down on that icon, and it will open up the camera

   We now need to use the white cog icon located on the left-hand side of the screen

   It is the second icon up from from the bottom.

   Press down on that, and it will open up the "Settings" menu

   We want the option in the middle that says "Make-up level"

    This opens a window with a scale at the top

    Minus is on the left, and plus is on the right. The "Make-up level" makes the subject of the photograph look like they are wearing makeup. It airbrushes the face. Any blemishes, lines and wrinkles are all smoothed over, so the face looks fresher and quite artificial.

    Increase the "Make-up level" by moving the dot on the scale closer to the plus sign

    The highest level is "10", and that is going to put more makeup or take it to the highest point, where the face will appear almost completely flawless

    .

    This can look very good, depending on how it is used.

    Decreasing the "Make-up level" by moving the dot closer to the minus sign will show all of the natural face, or the character that makes a person who they are

    Any blemishes or wrinkles will appear as they are.

    Putting it right in the middle will not be so artificial as it is at its highest setting

    Feel free to experiment with it by taking photos of yourself at different steps of "Make-up levels". Using this is the correct way will help to make the subjects and people of photos more beautiful. This enhances the quality of the photo and the ability of the photographer as well.
