You're watching VisiHow. In this tutorial, I'm going to demonstrate how to add a Weather Widget onto the Nexus 6P.
Steps
1
From the home screen, tap on an empty space and hold your finger
.
2
This is going to reveal the Widgets menu down at the bottom
.
Tap on "WIDGETS" once.
3
Now scroll down until you reach "News & Weather."
4
Here, you will see that you have four options
.
You have a 2X3 weather grid, a 4X1 weather grid in light colors.
5
You have the same options in dark colors
.
6
If you choose the 4X1, you have the option of choosing to display Weather only, News only or a combination of both
.
7
I am going to choose the 2X3 display
.
I will tap and hold it.
8
And then position it on my home screen
.
9
Now you will notice that the Weather is not showing up right now
.
10
I need to tap on the top portion of the display
.
11
It will take me to the Google News and Weather
.
12
It will show me a quick tutorial on what the App does
.
I'll scroll through all of this.
13
Now it will ask for access to the device's location
.
This is going to essential for activating the weather. I will choose "ALLOW."
14
Now, I will press the Circle button to go back to the home screen
.
15
I will notice that the weather has been set up on the Widget
.
