Hello and thank you for watching VisiHow. Today I will show you how to add and access a keyboard for another language on the LG L70.
Steps
1
To begin, we can access our home screen by pressing the button on the top right-hand side
.
2
Then swipe up to view the home screen
.
3
We need to access our Settings menu to add a keyboard
.
There are two ways we can do this. One way is to swipe down from the top of the screen and tap down on the gear-shaped icon in the top right corner.
4
Another way to access the Settings menu is through Apps in the bottom right-hand corner
.
It is a grey box with a set of white squares. Tap on the icon once.
5
Press on the gear-shaped Settings icon
.
6
Once we have entered the Settings menu we have to highlight the General settings to access our language and keyboard settings
.
7
This will be done through our "Language & input" menu
.
Tap once on that option. Now we can see our "Keyboard & input" methods.
8
Tap on the highlighted gear-shaped icon next to our default LG Keyboard
.
9
"Input language and type" is at the top of the new screen, which displays all the keyboards we have added right now
.
10
To add another one, tap on "Input language and type" and scroll through the list until we reach the keyboard we would like to add
.
11
We can make a choice by adding the checkmark and this is indicated by the highlighted the gear-shaped icon
.
12
This lets us choose between a QWERTY or phone layout
.
This is based on personal preference. This example will keep the QWERTY layout by pressing "Cancel."
13
To close this screen, either tap the arrows to go back until we reach the home screen
.
14
Otherwise, we can press the bottom center button once to be taken back to the home screen
.
15
To change the keyboard we will need to open up an area where we would type a message
.
We can access the Messaging icon.
16
We are going to create a new message by tapping the Compose icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen
.
17
Tap on the field to enter a message, where the characters would go, to change the keyboard
.
18
In this example, the Russian language is set which shows us the various letters in the Cyrillic alphabet
.
If we want to change the language and type in Turkish we can select "RU" and go through the languages until we reach Turkish. It looks like an English keyboard, but there are other letters in Turkish that do not appear in the English alphabet. In the QWERTY layout, we can not see them on the screen but we can enter them.
19
Do this by pressing and holding a character until the desired Turkish letter appears to be entered
.
20
Tap on the letter, highlight it, and release it for the character to appear on the screen
.
21
This will conclude our tutorial today on how to add and access a keyboard for another language on the LG L70
.
