Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to add an HTC account to an HTC One M8.

   To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on top of the phone

   .

   Once the phone has been activated we will see the lock screen.

   To unlock the phone, swipe the screen up

   Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see 5 icons. We now need to open the settings menu.

   To do that, press your finger at the top of the screen and swipe downwards

   This will open the notification panel.

   We want to tap the white cog icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen

   .

   This is our settings icon and it will open up the settings menu. It will say the word "Settings" in the top left-hand corner of the screen when it is opened.

   Scroll down and tap on "Accounts & sync" in the "PERSONAL" section

   Next to these words is a grey circle surrounded by two arrows forming another circle.

   Tap on the plus (+) sign at the top of the screen, in the black bar

   This will allow us to add an account.

   We want to add an HTC account, so we'll tap on that

   .

   Adding an HTC account gives us access to some interesting things, including free wallpapers and other interesting features as well that we can take advantage of. It has a green icon with 'HTC' inside of it, on the left-hand side.

   The good thing about this is we can sign in with Google, Facebook, or an HTC Account; choose one by tapping it

   .

   If we're using the phone in any way, it's very likely that we have a Google account, so it's a lot easier to sign in with Google. We're going to tap on "Sign in with Google". Once it has successfully added the account, it will return us to the "Accounts & sync" menu.

   Now, in the "MANAGE ACCOUNTS" section, we can see there is an HTC account

   Press down on that to see some options.
