Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to add a URL or web address to your profile on Instagram when using the Microsoft Lumia 535.

   To get started, turn the phone on by pressing the power button on the right-hand side of the phone

   When you see the lock screen, swipe it up to unlock the phone and access the home screen

   Find and press the Instagram tile to open the application

   .

   It is a navy blue background with a camera in the middle. In this example, it is on the bottom of the home screen. If the Instagram tile is not pinned to the home screen, swipe left and find it in the apps menu. We want to demonstrate how to add a URL or web address to our profile. The reason we want to do this is because the people that follow our photos can see it. If we're an artist or have a business and want to increase web traffic by uploading photos, then we can add the address so that if people like our photos, then they will visit our website to look at our products, work, or whatever it is we're doing. By adding a URL, we are able to increase the amount of traffic to our site. To do that, we need to enter the settings.

   To enter the settings, first press the 3 blue dots in the bottom left-hand corner

   Press "settings", written in blue at the bottom of the screen

   In the settings menu, we need to be in the 'you' section

   It will say 'you' in a dark blue text.

   Tap "Edit Profile", the first option

   This will open the "info" page.

   The third option from the top is "url"; tap on the text box under it and the keyboard will appear

   Type in the URL

   For example, if we have a blog and want people to see our photos, we would add our blog. The address in the example is not real since we do not have our own website. Tap on the checkmark at the bottom to save it.

    When it takes us back to the 'you' section, it means it has been successful

    It doesn't take us all the way out of the settings, but it does take us out of the menu we were in. Don't be surprised or think something is wrong, it happens with the BETA version on the Microsoft Lumia 535. We can tap on 'Edit Profile' again to enter our profile.
