To start, unlock your phone by pressing the big round Home button underneath the screen or the Lock button on the right-hand side of the handset

This brings up the lock screen.

Swipe and enter your passcode, or simply press your finger onto the Home button which also doubles as fingerprint scanner as well

This takes you to your home screen. From here, it's just a matter of finding the TripAdvisor application on your phone. The icon is green with an owl's face on it. The owl looks as if it's looking through a pair of binoculars or glasses.

Tap on the TripAdvisor icon once to open the application

It automatically opens up the main menu where you can search, see places you've searched previously, as well as browse other places.

Navigate to a place you'd like to review
.
For example, under the Browse section click on Restaurants and press the green search button at the bottom. It loads everything in that filter, so just scroll down and choose something you like.

Select a place by clicking once to open up the information

It presents you with pictures, the map, ways to contact them, details and finally the reviews. It allows you to see other peoples' reviews, which you can click on to read. Scroll all the way down and finally there are five circles where it says 'Tap to rate.'

Click on one of the circles to select a rating

In a new screen, it highlights the number of circles you selected from left to right.

Click on 'Type of visit.' Select one of the options such as Friends

Click on Title and enter a title for the review, then click on Review to enter the review

There is a word limit in the top-right corner of the box, so make sure to keep your review at least at the minimum. Otherwise it won't let you submit your review.

Add a picture if you'd like to by pressing the camera in the bottom left-hand corner

Clicking on it allows you to access your photos. When you're done, press OK.

In the bottom right-hand corner, click on Month Visited
.
Choose the month when you went.

When you're happy with everything, press Submit in the green bar at the bottom or in the top right-hand corner

In the pop-up window, press Agree

It's located on the left-hand side of the window.

Sign in with either Facebook or Google if you're not already signed in

It jumps to the app you chose and then jumps back to TripAdvisor.

Press OK in the confirmation window

Now if you scroll down, your review will be in there in the Traveler Reviews.

To return to the main menu, click Back in the top left-hand corner and then click Home in the same corner

That takes you back to your main menu.
