Edited by Freya, Alexander Avdeev, Eng
You're watching VisiHow! In this video, we are going to show how to add a scribble attachment in the Gmail application on the iPhone 6.
Steps
1
To begin, we unlock the phone by pressing the lock button
.
2
Alternatively, we can press the home button
.
3
4
We enter the passcode or just use the fingerprint scanner
.
5
We need to locate the Gmail icon
.
The icon is white and has an envelope.
6
We tap Gmail to open up the application
.
The email messages have already been synchronized with the Gmail application; so, Gmail takes us directly to the "Primary" email list. However, there is a VisiHow video on how to add an account to the Gmail application.
7
We tap the button in the top-right corner to compose a new message
.
No matter whether we are responding to someone or composing a new message, we can open the email message; and it will have a very similar layout to the one shown in the video. There is a VisiHow video with exact instructions on how to compose an email message.
8
For now, we are just going to tap the paperclip on the right-hand side
.
This will open up a new window.
9
We can tap the "Draw scribble" button
.
The button has a little scribble on the left-hand side as well. Tapping the button will open up a new window where we can begin to paint.
10
We paint by tapping the screen
.
In this example, the drawing color is already black.
11
We can tap the square icon in the bottom-right corner to change the color
.
12
Let's select the color red. In this video, the scribble is a love heart.
13
We can change the color again by tapping the square button in the bottom-right corner
.
14
We can change the line thickness by tapping the line button in the bottom-right corner
.
15
We continue to paint with a thicker red line
.
16
We can change the tool by tapping the icon in the bottom-right corner
.
It can be a rubber, a pencil, or a spray can.
17
We tap the spray can icon
.
18
We continue to paint with a spray can
.
19
We can tap the arrow pointing left to undo
.
20
We can tap the arrow pointing right to redo
.
21
We can tap the bin icon to start from scratch
.
22
We paint with the spray can
.
23
Once we are happy with the scribble, we can just tap "Done" in the top right-hand corner
.
24
Alternatively, we can tap the cross on the left-hand side
.
This will cancel the scribble.
25
We will see that Gmail will be attaching our new PNG-format scribble. Gmail will say, "Attaching..." and there will be a circle rotating in the very top-left corner. The circle will disappear once the scribble has been attached. We will also see that our attachment has been attached by the word "Attached."
26
We can then continue filling our different details
.
27
Then, we tap the send button
.
The button is blue and is in the top right-hand corner.
28
In this video, the message is discarded by tapping the cross icon
.
29
Then, "Discard" is tapped
.
30
Then, once we've sent or discarded, Gmail will take us straight back to the "Primary" email list where we began
.
This is a VisiHow video. This is a tutorial on how to add a scribble attachment to the Gmail application on the iPhone 6. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to add them to the section below. We'll do our best to get back to you.
