   To begin, unlock the phone by pressing the power button on the top right-hand side, then swipe up

   We do have Evernote on the home screen

   .

   It's a green box icon with an elephant inside of it. If we don't have it on the home screen, we can access it through the apps menu. The icon for the apps menu is in the bottom right-hand corner in this example. It is a gray box with a set of white squares inside of it and below the icon it says "Apps". This brings us to a grid of all of the apps we've downloaded.

   We will open Evernote by tapping on the icon on the home screen

   If the app opens to an advertisement, tap the white "x" in the top left-hand corner

   Tap on "Settings", the last option

   This will open a page with a list of settings.

   Here we will see what kind of Evernote we're using (we're using "EVERNOTE BASIC"), our email address, and a section for us to edit our profile.

   Here we have the option to change our name by tapping on the text box, deleting what is already there, and typing in a new name

    Now we can tap the photo icon one time

    We will then have two options, "Take a photo" or "Select from Photos".

    We'll choose "Select from Photos" to access the gallery.
