Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to add a profile photo to your Facebook account without cropping it on an HTC One M8.

Steps

To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on top of the phone

Once the phone has been activated we will see the lock screen.

To unlock the phone, swipe the screen up

Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see 5 icons. We now need to open the application folder.

We can do that by tapping the icon in the middle, at the bottom of the screen

There is a grid of white dots. This is the icon for the applications folder.

Now that the folder has been opened, we need to find and tap the Facebook application

There is a Facebook icon, which is a blue background with a white "f" inside, and underneath it says the word "Facebook". We want to demonstrate how to add a profile photo to our account without cropping it. This is one of the biggest irritations and something that people have been asking us a lot about. When we go to the Facebook application and try to upload a profile photo, it will always crop it for us. This means that we might cut people or things out, and we won't be able to use the whole photo.

We now need to tap the menu icon in the top right-hand corner to find our profile

We now press down on our name to open our profile

Go back by pressing the back arrow in the bottom left-hand corner of the phone until we're back on the home screen

It's not asking us to crop anything. The photo will then upload.

Bear this in mind: we can't do this in the application. If we try to upload the photo in the application it will ask us to crop it. If we go to the website, we can upload a Facebook profile photo without having to crop it.
