Edited by Lukward Thomason, Train Wreck, Eng
Hi! You're watching VisiHow, and this is a tutorial on how to add Chrome bookmarks to the Windows 8 start menu.
Steps
1
The first thing that we need to do is open the Google Chrome browser
.
When it opens, we need to copy the bookmark by right-clicking it and then selecting "Copy".
2
So now we have the address copied
.
We can close it now. We need to click on an empty space on the desktop. Right-click there, and then select "New" and "Shortcut".
3
Now we need to click "Browse" to locate the Google Chrome web browser
.
4
In this case, it's in the directory "This PC"
.
5
Then click on "Local Disk C"
.
6
Bear in mind that if you have a 32- or 64-bit operating system, then it will be in "Program Files"
.
7
If you have a 64-bit system, it's going to be in "Program Files (x86)"
.
8
So, click on the correct folder and then click the Google folder
.
9
10
Then click on "Application"
.
11
You will see the "Chrome.exe" file, so choose it and then click OK
.
12
After the name, press space and then paste what we've just copied
.
13
14
Now name it, for example, "VisiHow", and then click finish
.
15
Once this is done, you will see the icon on the desktop
.
16
Now we need to right-click the icon and click "Pin to Start"
.
17
Go to the start menu by clicking the lower left corner of the screen
.
18
We will see that the VisiHow icon has appeared here
.
19
If we click the icon, it will take us to the VisiHow page
.
This concludes our tutorial on how to add Chrome bookmarks to the Windows 8 start menu. Thank you for watching VisiHow! If you have any other comments or questions, please leave them in the comments section below.
