Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to add a shortcut for a WhatsApp contact on an HTC One M8.

   To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on top of the phone

   Once the phone has been activated we will see the lock screen.

   To unlock the phone, swipe the screen up

   Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see 5 icons. We now need to open the application folder.

   We can do that by tapping the icon in the middle, at the bottom of the screen

   There is a grid of white dots. This is the icon for the applications folder.

   Now that the folder has been opened, we need to find and tap the WhatsApp application

   There is a WhatsApp icon, which is a green speech bubble with a white telephone inside, and underneath it says "WhatsApp". Your application may be in a different location, so look for the icon in your folder. We want to demonstrate how to add a shortcut for a WhatsApp contact. We're going to add that shortcut to the home screen.

   Let's choose a contact

   We're going to choose Terry. Press down on it to enter the chat.

    If we press down on it, it will take us straight to our chat with that contact so that we can interact with them very quickly

    To remove this shortcut, we press down on the shortcut and hold down until we feel a vibration
