Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to add what you are doing to a post or status in Facebook on an HTC One M8.

Steps

To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on top of the phone

Once the phone has been activated we will see the lock screen.

To unlock the phone, swipe the screen up

Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see 5 icons. We now need to open the application folder.

We can do that by tapping the icon in the middle, at the bottom of the screen

There is a grid of white dots. This is the icon for the applications folder.

Now that the folder has been opened, we need to find and tap the Facebook application
.
There is a Facebook icon, which is a blue background with a white "f" inside, and underneath it says the word "Facebook". We want to demonstrate how to add what we're doing to a post or status. This is not exactly what it sounds like. It's not just a case of typing in what we're doing, we can actually go to a specific function that's going to add some symbols and some other things.

For example, we can see "Tom Thumb is traveling to Borjomi"

This is what we're doing. It allows us to quickly update Facebook with our current actions.

Press down on the option at the top that says "What's on your mind?"

This will allow us to start a post.

Tap on the gray smiley face to add what we're doing right now

This will open up a listed page with "What Are You Doing?" at the top. There's a long list of options. This is not the complete list of what we could possibly be doing, but it's quite a good list.

Tap on the chosen option

We're going to tap on "Thinking About". This will bring us to another big list full of things that we could be thinking about.

We're going to tap on "all the good times". We can also customize it by typing something in the "What are you thinking about?" text box, if we're thinking about something that's not in the list. Once we choose an option, it will add it to our post. In this example, it will say "Thinking about all the good times".

Press down on "Post" in the top right-hand corner of the screen, and it will post this for us

We can see it says "Tom Thumb is thinking about all the good times" and we have successfully posted what we are doing
