Add a website to the Home Screen of your iPhone or iPad with the iOS share function. Creating home screen shortcuts to frequently visited sites and or pages is an excellent way to access relevant information without having to open Safari first.

Creating a bookmark to the site or page isn't necessary for adding it to your home screen. You are free to bookmark it, of course; however, it's not a prerequisite.

In the following Visi guide, we'll show how to add a website shortcut to the home screen of your iPhone or iPad. For this article, we used an iPhone 7 running iOS 13.5.

   Tap the Safari icon.

   Enter a web URL or search for the site/page you would want to be added to your home screen.

   Once on the webpage/site, tap the sharing option in the bottom-center.

   Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.

   To edit the name of your home screen bookmark, tap the text to bring up the cursor

   Once the shortcut is named correctly, tap Add.

   Your website bookmark will appear in the next available home screen position.

For additional options, tap+hold your website shortcut/icon until a menu appears. Select Delete Bookmark or Share Bookmark.
