Add Task to S Planner on Galaxy S5

Welcome to VisiHow. Today we will see how you can set up a task on the S Planner event calendar in your Samsung Galaxy S5.To start off with, I will need you to press the unlock button for your phone. It is also the power button.
Steps
- 1Then you are going to slide your finger across your lock screen or enter your pin, passcode or another method you may have set up to unlock your phone.
- 2The bottom right-hand side of the phone. Give that one single tap.Once you are done that, you are going to need to go down to the Apps icon.
- 3One tap on the Apps icon is going to open up the applications folder where all of your device applications will be shown.
- 4Again it is the number 31 in a little white box with a green line across the top and it says "SPlanner".In this folder, you are going to tap on the calendar icon, which looks like the number 31 in a little box and says "SPlanner" underneath of it.
- 5One tap will open it up. As you can see, we are on March 19, 2015.Those of you familiar with old fashioned calendars will know that this is, what it looks like - a day on a date calendar.
- 6One press on the 'Plus' button lets me add an event - my apologies, I am adding a task.I am going to add an event that is done by pressing the 'Plus' button.
- 7This will be a task. A task is a reminder, for instance, mow the lawn, change the light bulb, buy diapers, take out the dishes, don't forget to bring flowers home to the angry person you love.Events are different than tasks because events allow you to indicate a location and add quite a bit more detail.
- 8In this case, we have it set as "My task".
- 9I am going to leave it as "My task" - specific to this phone. I am not syncing across other devices however you can sync events from your calendar. We do discuss that in another video that you can access by clicking the link below.You can tap on "My task" and you can set it up as a Samsung Task if you prefer.
- 10The title is simply going to be "Test". It is a very easy title. Okay.Now we are going to have a title.
- 11We do not want it to be the 19th.The due date for the "Test" we are going to change that.
- 12It is entirely up to you. I am going to go with the 27th. Now that the due date is set.Let us make that due date the 26th or the 27th or the 24th.
- 13You can also tap here and you can individually change the information.
- 14I am quite happy with the month view.Or you can switch back to the month view.
- 15I am going to set the date.
- 16Now the date has been set for Friday, March 27th.
- 17Examples of no due date tasks might be something like learn how to play checkers, learn how to play chess. These may be things that are important to you for any number of reasons. Perhaps you have fallen in love with someone who loves playing chess every weekend in the park. Perhaps you have decided that it is in your best interest to do something to expand you mind or learn to be better. Whatever it may be, that is up to you. This is how you set up a reminder for yourself to do it.Alternatively, you could set "No due date" if you did not have a due date.
- 18Now, let us tap on 'View more options'.
- 19First of all, let us go down to 'Priority.'This allows us to set up other information for this.
- 20I am going to set this as a 'High Priority' event so that you can see what that icon looks like.How important is this event, 'Low, Medium, High'?
- 21"Dance and be merry!", life is too short to not learn how to dance. So, you should take it upon yourself to dance and be merry. That is excellent advice. Bear in mind that that is "Dance and be merry" not "Dance and be married". M-e-r-r-y, a little exclamation point because this is such a great suggestion.Description, let us call it, "Dance".
- 22Now let us tap on reminder.
- 23On the due date - then we get a reminder on the due date.When do we want a reminder?
- 24Let us set it up as 16:21.At what time?
- 25Let us add another reminder.Alternatively, let us get rid of that.
- 26Customize it.
- 27Let us remind ourselves on the 17th. Let us make it on 16:26.Now we can actually choose a date.
- 28Now we are going to set that.
- 29We now have our other reminder set.
- 30Let us save it.Now when we save this task.
- 31You can see that we have our task set up - just showed up in the notifications panel - and we can tap over here and here is test. Tells me that we have a test task.Now we are back here.
- 32Now I see that I have an alarm set and I can see that that is an important task.I can tap that 'Task'.
- 33My job is to dance and be merry.Tapping on the "Test" task will take me to it and show me that this is my "Test" task.
- 34If you want to edit it, tap this little pencil icon here and you can edit the task.So, you can set up your own task however you would like to set them up.
- 35If you change your mind and you do not want to edit it, simply tap 'Cancel'.
- 36Again, tap the 'Task'.
- 37Then tap "Test".
- 38You can delete it here with the trash can icon.
- 39Alternatively, you can also tap the three dots here and you can delete it from here.
- 40Which allows you to select "Test" and then tap 'Done' to delete it.
- 41I am going to go back one.
- 42You can again tap your 'Task'.I am going to show you one more thing.
- 43Then tap "Test".
- 44You can tap the three dots here.
- 45Now you can copy the task or you can share the task.
- 46Dropbox, Bluetooth, Google Drive, Email, Gmail, Messenger, Telegram, Paypal and WiFi Direct. Now, which of these you choose to use is up to you. We are not going to choose one of them now, simply because we are not going to share this task, it is just a"Test" task.VIA a number of social media's.
- 47So, tap the 'Back' button now on the bottom of your phone.
- 48Let us go ahead and delete this task to get rid of it.
- 49OK."This task will be deleted".
- 50No more reminders either.No more task on the phone.
- 51Press that one time.Now what we are going to do is go down to the 'Home' button which is the oval shaped button at the bottom of your phone.

How do I display tasks in the S Planner on my S5?
Once you have added a task to the S Planner it will appear in the screen of the app just like it did in the S4. If your tasks are not showing, try to update the S Planner. You can also download the Google Calender app and sync it with the S Planner. Many users prefer the Google app because it is more efficient and has less bugs that occur with the S Planner.
S planner isn't saving my events. Is there some way to reinstall it? It isn't working?
I go to the date I want. I fill out the name and place and times. I click Set. I click Save. It isn't saved.. I have tried: Restarting my phone.. I think it was caused by: I was using Defumblr and was having problems with the calendar on the lock screen so I disabled some somewhere. wasn't getting it the way I wanted so I uninstalled Defumblr. Don't use SPlanner much. Next time I tried to use it, it didn't work. Thinking about just downloading another calendar app.
You can only update this app because it was pre installed as part of the Samsung OS. Make sure that you did not change your phone settings to Easy Mode as stated above because this can make the tasks disappear. Also in the Calender section there is a setting for My Tasks and that has to be checked. After the Lollipop OS the calender changed and users have has some adjusting to do in order to get used to the new version.
How do I see a list of tasks in S Planner?
I did a system update on my Samsung S4. Now, I can no longer list my tasks in S Planner. (There used to be a tab on the right side)
Go into the S Planner setting and check My Tasks. The newest version of the S Planner got rid of the To Do List. Many people are switching over to the Google Calender app and the app called Tasks in Google Play. Tasks has a free and Premium paid version. Outlook Calender is also a great alternative.GTasks is free and the app that I use. TickTock is another free app but has in app purchases. With the disappointment of the latest S Planner many are using a third party app.
