    In order to create a shortcut, you're going to need to have your phone unlocked. You should be on the home screen.

    Once you're on the home screen, you'll need to access the "Apps" folder icon. The icon labeled "Apps" is a series of nine little white dots. The icon is at the bottom right-hand side of the home screen of the phone. Tap on "Apps" when you've located it.

    In the "Apps" folder, you can swipe through your applications to locate the ones that you would like to add to the home screen. In our case, we're going to add Google Chrome. Simply tap on the Chrome icon and hold it.

    You can move the held icon around the home screens.

    Let go of the icon. In this video, the icon will be placed at the left-hand side of the home screen. The created icon is just an application shortcut.

    If you tap on "Apps" again, you'll see that Google Chrome will also still be in the "Apps" folder.
