Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to add a location to a photo when using the Instagram application on the Microsoft Lumia 535.

Steps

To get started, turn the phone on by pressing the power button on the right-hand side of the phone

This will bring up the lock screen.

Once the lock screen is activated, swipe up to unlock the phone and access the home screen

Find and press the Instagram tile to open the application
.
It has a navy blue background with a camera in the middle. In this example, it is on the bottom of the home screen. If the Instagram tile is not pinned to the home screen, swipe left and find it in the apps menu. To show how to add a location to a photo, we first need to upload a photo.

To upload a photo, press the blue circle with a white camera inside

This will open the photo albums.

Press down on the chosen photo, then press the check mark at the bottom of the screen

Press the white check mark in a white circle again

Press the white check mark in a white circle again to continue without changing the photo, or add a filter then press the check mark

Tap on the switch to the right of 'Add to Photo Map'

When the option is turned on, the box will be blue

To select a location, we can press the text box that is labeled 'Location'

This will bring us to a new window to find our location.

We can either type in our location or choose from the nearby places
.
We are going to choose 'Ilia State University' because that's where the image was taken. If the location we need isn't listed, we will need to type it into the text box at the top. It can be quite difficult to find locations sometimes. Tap on the chosen location to select it and move on.

To remove the location and add a different one, press the 'X' on the right-hand side

Once we're done, we can press the checkmark at the bottom of the screen, in the middle

This will upload the photo.

The photo has been uploaded with the location in the description
.
Anyone that looks at the photo will be able to find the exact location that this photo was taken and if they tap on it, they can see a map with a pin in it indicating the location.
