To begin, we need to unlock the phone by pressing the lock button or home button

Swipe and enter the passcode, or just use the fingerprint scanner

Find the Pages icon, which is orange with a white pen, and tap it to open the app

We already have a document open, which is a blank page template with an extract or a friends book. Your page could look a little different to this. To learn how to open a document, refer to another tutorial on how to do that. It doesn't matter which format we choose, we will have the same four options on the top right-hand side.

We need to tap the spanner or wrench icon in the top right-hand corner

Tap on "Set Password", with a padlock to the left of it

We can then type in the password and then write it again in the "Verify" text box
