   To start, press the home button on the bottom of the phone or the power button on the right-hand side of the phone

   Unlock the phone by sliding to the right

   Enter your passcode or put your finger onto the home button, which doubles as a fingerprint scanner, if that option is enabled.

   Tap the Google Maps icon to open the application

   The icon itself is very colorful with the Google "g". It has a yellow line, a green triangle, a blue triangle and a red pinpoint.

   As you can see, those colors are actually a stylized version of how the map will look

   You can also see the red pinpoint, which is the place we last searched for, Trafalgar square. The Maps application will either take you to the place you last searched for or your current location. If it is showing your current location, the gray compass will be blue.

   Here, you can enter details regarding the place that you would like to add

   Perhaps it's a restaurant, a cafe, something you own, or a landmark no one else has put in, you can add it to Google Maps. Tap "Place name" to add the name of the place.

    Tap "Street address" to search for the address
